The Hemp-derived cannabinoid market excelled in the later part of 2018 when Congress legalized hemp when the Farm Bill was created. Many consumers defined the hemp plant as a non-psychoactive cannabinoid CBD, that can easily be extracted
from the plant. When the Farm Bill passed it enabled manufacturers to have a surplus of hemp, that they converted to many psychoactive cannabinoids including Delta-8, HHC, THC-O, and even Delta-9 THC (D-9). Hemp-derived delta-9 THC also comes from CBD. Going through the process the final mixture contains a mixture of naturally-occurring minor cannabinoids from
the extraction process, including delta-9—actual THC.
